Rain Rain Go Away

Okay, so we don't really want the rain to go away. But it would be nice if we could have some sunshine so we can take decent photos of all of the cool projects Megan's been working on. Until we get a few good rays, here are some beautiful rainy photos. We'll be jumping in puddles if you need us.

Music Monday: Rainy Day

The rain is not letting up here in Kansas City. That makes us want to stay in bed watching old movies all day. Well, that's not entirely true. Jake and I want to snuggle in bed all day. Eliza wants to put her rain boots to good use. Those puddles are only there for a limited amount of time, you know.

Oh, and I wrote a little haiku for you:

Tiny raindrops fall
Into subtle swirling winds
Together they dance.

Secret: I'm a huge nerd that writes tons of poetry. Jake dabbles a little too. We have an entire book of love poems we wrote to each other when we were dating. Maybe we'll share some someday, if you'd like to see them.

We've been spending most of the week outside because it has been SO beautiful! I wish the weather could stay like this forever, but it's supposed to start getting cold on Saturday :(

Lumberjack Love

I honor of two of our favorite new things in our shop, we're posting about our lumberjack love!

Are you on the tartan train this season or are you hating all of the plaid? We think maybe it's a sign that the grungy 90s fashion is coming back and the 80s influenced neon stuff will be disappearing soon. We're very excited about this.

Look What I Made!!!

I am so happy that I finished my first knitting project! I made a cowl without a pattern!!! It's not perfect, but I LOVE it.

It's actually really hot out right now, so I can't really wear it. I can't wait for it to get cold so I can wear it for longer than it takes to take a photograph. Which is weird, because I hate the cold.

It can also be a silly rasta-looking hat. But I won't wear it like this, I promise.

Knitting is addictive! I'm sure there will be photos of more knitting projects SOON!!!
